ABOUT
“HANA” –flower 花
Open your life to the universe.
Embracing the life of the tribute and the memory of the soul of billion years, the innocence from darkness to light and death to life is constantly repeated and continues to open.
The beginning of the universe is love.
The flower stares at the stars.

WHAT IS BUTOH?
Butoh, originally called the Dance of Darkness, has its roots in post-WWII Japan in response to the social and cultural turmoil of the time. Classic styles of Butoh sought to express the trauma, anxiety, and confusion of this era through movement, sound, and visual imagery that was often shocking, grotesque, or surreal. Butoh can be seen as an example of an art form that is out of order, challenging the norms of conventional performance styles and offering a way to explore new forms of expression and adaptation in the face of uncertain and unexpected challenges.
